In 1994 the college moved into own building in the adjacent Subramanyanagar Colony. The college is located in the pollution free and serene environment. The building consists of spacious classrooms, good library with latest editions of reference books and journals, seminar hall, computer labs for English and Commerce with internet facility setup in three floors + ground floor we have uninterrupted power supply with solar energy which is eco-friendly.
Over a period of 34 years, 32 batches of students have completed theirgraduation maintaining good record of results from our college. Many of our students are settled as lecturers, principals, bank officers, police officers, Chartered Accountants, lawyers and entrepreneurs and other executive positions. Our students have made us feel proud as they have chosen challenging careers. Presently the collegeis offering only B.Com. General and B.Com. Computers as the demand for traditional courses have come down.
Sri Padmavathi Mahila Kalasala stands firmly committed towards all round development of the students. To train them to excelin all areas; education, career, professional ethics, humanistic values and women empowerment etc.
In addition to the regular Degree course, we are offering U.G.C. sponsored course on Personality Development, Corporate recruitment Training programme, Communication skills in English, karate training for self-defence and NSS activities for inculcating social service and national development.
Founder President-Cum-Correspondent, Sri.K.Prabhakar Reddy (former Finance Minister of A.P.) has been striving relentlessly for the past 30 years to achieve the objective of providing higher education at economic cost for women in the city of Hyderabad, particularly in the educationally backward area of Saidabad and surrounding localities of the old city like Madannapet, I.S.Sadan, Champapet, Santoshnagar, Idi Bazar etc.
In the year 1982, Sri Padmavathi Junior College for Girls was started. Within a short span of time both Degree and Junior colleges acquired good reputation and new sections were added to accommodate larger number of students. (1988-89, new courses, B.Sc. and B.Com. (Computers) were added in Degree College and job oriented vocational courses in Junior college.
Impressed by the strength, results, standard and endeavour of the Principal, staff and the management, the State Government admitted both the colleges into Grant-in-aid.
In 1994, both the colleges moved into own building located in the pollution free & congenial environment consisting of spacious classrooms, big library with adjacent seminar hall and Computer labs etc. set up in 3 floors + ground floor of the building. The land was donated by the Subramanyagar Colony Society.
B.Com. General & B.Com. (Computers) students are passing out with good results securing highest marks of 98, 96, 95 and 93 in some subjects. The highest marks secured in some subjects are
